Food Aid

Torquay Food Aid is a voluntary community organisation which was established in 1992 to support families and individuals in need in the Torquay area. It basically provides a weekly box of food to those in need. At Christmas time special food hampers are also delivered, along with presents-enquiries>>

The Good Shepherd Buying Service (Victoria)
is a free statewide telephone service that assists people on low incomes who have a concession card to purchase new essential household items such as: fridges, washing machines, furniture, and medical appliances, by negotiating discount prices with a network of traders.
This service, when combined with a no interest loan offers low income consumers real savings on the cost of obtaining essential household goods. The Good Shepherd Buying service is a telephone service operating:
